Freddy, was the tallest living dog in the world with almost the same height, Freddy stood 3 feet, 4.5 inches (103.5 centimeters) from foot to withers — the highest spot on a dog’s back, according to Guinness World Records. Unfortunately he passed away and Guinness is looking for the new record holder. He was also the oldest Great Dane, (Great Danes tend to be the largest of the big dog breeds).
The tallest dog in the world was Zeus (a Great Dane), standing on his hind legs Zeus stretched 7 ft 5 in (2.26 meters),and when measured in October 2011, Zeus was 3 ft 8.0 inches (1.118 meters) from his foot to his withers. He lived for almost 6 years. He was a very gentle, and was a certified therapy dog that visited people at a nearby hospital. Due to his impressive height, he was able to drink straight from the tap.
